Kids Compass is a private clinic and fees apply to all assessments and treatments. There are various financial support options available that may cover some or all of your therapy sessions. Your GP or Paediatrician can advise and assist you in sourcing some of these funding options.

  • Private Health

    Kids Compass is registered to offer rebates for Occupational Therapy sessions under various private health insurance funds. Eligibility and amount claimable is dependent on the type of cover and extras. Please contact your insurance company for details about your level of cover for Occupational Therapy.

  • Medicare Rebate - Chronic Diseases Management Plan (CDM)/ Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC)

    This is a Medicare-rebated scheme that can be accessed through your GP. This funding allows children with chronic medical conditions (conditions that has been present for at least 6-months) to access allied health services.

    This scheme offers 5 partial rebates of fees per calendar year for Allied Health services.

  • Medicare Rebate - Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

    Kids Compass OT is registered to provide MHCP. This is a Medicare- rebated program accessed by your GP. This scheme entitles individuals who have mental health conditions (e.g. Depression, Anxiety, ADHD etc) to access a total of 10 partial rebated sessions per calendar year with approved mental health Allied Professionals.

  • Medicare Rebate - Helping Children with Autism - Initiative

    The Autism initiative is a Medicare-rebated scheme accessed by your Paediatrician. This initiative provides a total of 20 partial rebated sessions for children under the age of 15-years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD).

  • Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) – FaHCSIA Funding

    The Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding for children under the age of 6-years, who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Pervasive Developmental Delay (PDD) diagnosis.

    This initiative allows families to obtain $12,000 over 2 years ($6000 per financial year) for Early Intervention therapy services.

  • Better Start for Children with a Disability (Better Start)

    Better Start is an Australian government funding initiative for children with developmental disabilities. Children under the age of 6-years who have been diagnosed with Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Fragile X syndrome, a moderate or greater vision or hearing impairment, Prader Willi syndrome, Williams syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Kabuki syndrome, Smith-Magenis syndrome, CHARGE syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, ‘Cri du Chat syndrome or, microcephaly, can be registered to access early intervention funding.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

    To maintain a consistent and fair fee structure between our funded and non-funded clients, Kids Compass will (at this time) only process Self-Managed or Plan Managed clients under the NDIS.
